Reflecting on my New Year Resolutions

After yesterdays post I decided to go back in my blogposts and see my Resolution list for 2013. Let's see how well I've stuck to them shall we.

1) The most obvious and on everyone's list I'm sure. Get back to the gym. My goal is 3-4 times a week.  Please don't laugh at me. Oh I'm laughing at you right now! Though I did in the beginning of the year. But of course I stopped going.
2) Read two books a month. To me this sounds pitiful when I used to read more than that a week. However, I haven't had time, so I think two books a month is doable. While I have done this a few times, I haven't every month. I actually don't remember the last time I finished a book.
3) In 2012 I got an agent Woohoo! 2013 Get an editor :) CHECK!
4) Finish one or two of my current WIP's  Um....yeah not even close
5) Blog 3x's a week. Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Nope. Though I do try to remember my Saturday quote every week. Does that count?
6) Reach a 1,000 followers on Pinterest. (Don't judge me lol) CHECK! 1,374!
7) Get organized (Ha!) Um...see yesterdays post.
8) Finish writing the book with my Mom I really need to do this. I love that story so much!
9) Write everyday even if it is only 100 words. Something is better than nothing. This definitely did not happen.
10) Get serious about saving money HA! Yup see previous post.
11) Get new couches (They are hand me downs and I'm not even going to say how old) Still sitting on my beat up couches!
12) In 2012 I got back on my bike. In 2013 I want to get serious, try out new trails and go more often. I've gone several times this summer!
13) Finish edits on all my WIP's I haven't even started.

How are your resolutions going?

  1. Hey, the year's not done yet! You can still do some of these things. :) And you will!
I don't even remember what my resolutions were this year. . .

  2. I don't even think I made resolutions, so you're way ahead of me.

Edits on all your WIPs? How many do you have cause that sounds like a lot of work? And you started a new WIP after the first of the year, so that finish my WIPs list just grew longer.

You need to concentrate of the most important things cause otherwise you look at this list and get depressed cause you feel like you're not accomplishing anything. Or at least that's how I feel.

And really, think about those things that are not under your control. Edits without track changes. How much time did that waste? You may not feel like it, but I think you're doing good!

  3. Some resolutions I made actually turned out to be good failures. Like me not sending anything to agents because I've decided to hold off on getting an agent until 2015 to focus on self-publishing instead of traditional. Besides you still have four months left and you accomplished 3 out of 13 so you're doing something.

  4. A few of the reasons that adults find the motivation
to go back to college are detailed below.
Antibiotics, for instance, do improve acne conditions, but
they also interfere with the balance of healthy intestinal flora, making the problem cyclic.
