2013 Reading List

There have been certain books in my TBR pile for years and I think it's time I move them to the top of the pile. Today I am sharing my list with you so I can't push them off any longer. So here it goes, my 2013 Reading List:

1) The Harry Potter series (It's time.)
2) Catch 22
3) Dreamland by Sarah Dessen (I own it have read the first chapter, but never finished)
4) Across the Universe by Beth Revis
5) The Gathering by Kelley Armstrong
6) Dracula
7) Hopeless by Colleen Hoover (If you haven't read Slammed add it to your list.)
8) Catching Fire and Mockingjay
9) Fault in the Stars by John Green
10) An Abundance of Katherines by John Green (Recommended by my BF's 18 year old cousin. He said it's amazing)
11) Linger and Forever by Maggie Stiefvater
12) The Perks of Being a Wallflower
13) Forever by Judy Blume
14) If I Stay by Gayle Foreman

What's on your 2013 reading list? Have you read any on mine? Thoughts?

  1. Great list! Esp, that number one ;) I've actually read most of these so we'll have to talk books when you finish :)

  2. Catch 22 is on my list, too. Since college.
HP is definitely a good place to start. They should be quick reads. Dracula, however, is not, so you should make sure you set aside plenty of time for it.

    1. You're scaring me away from Dracula lol. Hopefully it goes better than my attempt at A Tale of Two Cities.

Catch 22 has been sitting on my bookshelf for over a year now.

  6. K. Got 3 comments about your first 3 books.

    1. I am so thankful to find someone who hasn't read HP yet. Cause I feel like the only one. You should tell me when you're gonna read it. Maybe I'll read it too.

    2. I really want to know what you think of this. Catch-22 is one of the books that I've never finished reading. I started it years ago. Put it aside. Picked it up again... Until I got 3/4 way through. Then never finished.

Now it was probably 10 years ago that I read it, so my memory isn't that great. But I think the characters were so out of wack, it just turned me off. Maybe I should try read it again. Let me know when you do, maybe I'll skim it at the same time.

    3. I really liked Dreamland. I think it's kinda a departure from her more romantic books. Which is maybe why I liked it.

Several of those books are on my list too.

    1. Isn't it the most refreshing thing when you discover you are not alone! LOL! It's a very rare thing when it comes to HP

I'll definitely let you know when I give Catch 22 a go. Now I'm not as eager to dive into it lol

That's exactly why I haven't read it. I love her romance books. I love all romance and I know this isn't exactly what I'm used to. But it's short compared to her other books so it really shouldn't even take long to read.

  7. I have Fault in our Stars on my pile too! I actually won it from... somewhere. haha. Across the Universe was one of my favs I read last year. Catching Fire was awesome. Mockingjay I didn't like at all. We can discuss why I think this is when you've read it ;)

Mortal Instruments Series is on my list. Got the first two books for Christmas so I can't wait to get started!

    1. Now I really have to read Mockingjay because I want to know what you think!

I always see the Mortal Instrument books in the store and I pick them up and put them back down. You have to let me know if you like them.
