2012 Resolutions...I made those?

Every year we make our resolutions for the New Year. All gung ho and excited because we're determind more than ever to achieve them. But do we ever? I have my list ready to go, but first I want to take a look back at my 2012 resolutions and see how well those turned out.

1) Start a new WIP Yes I did! I started two actually. A collab with Cassie and another one that has been driving me crazy.
 2) Get an agent (2012 is my year. I can feel it.) Holy crap I did it!
3) Read a classic every two months (Yes I went there) Ha! I started with a Tale of Two Cities and never finished it....
4) Head back to the gym Can you believe I actually did? But stopped going at the end of October. Guess what's going on my 2013 list.
5) Stop eating cookies and start eating real meals Winner. Until this month when I started baking.
6) Go through my clothes and get rid of some (I still have jeans I wear from 7th grade. I'm 27) YES! Two huge bags. Um...Except the bags never left my closet. Baby steps.
7) Read at least one book a week This was going well until I got a job.
8) Write 1,000 words a day Again, going well till I got a job.
9) Find a job I love I don't hate my job so I think this is also a win.
10) Get off the couch and use the desk I had to have I wound up buying a new desk that I do use :)
11) Spend more time with my Grandma This makes me sad that I actually made it a resolution and even sadder that I didn't spend as much time with her as I should've. However, when I wasn't working I did take her out and hang out with her. She even told me to quit my job so we can go out to breakfast. lol
12) Finish the Hunger Games trilogy Um...
13) Make time to see my friends I'm awful
14) Mountain bike more (After a bad fall last summer I've been avoiding it. My BF has been trying his hardest to get me back on my bike and I think it's time I hit the trails again) I got back on my bike this summer!!! :) and I can't wait for the warm weather so I can hit more trails.
15) Learn to drive stick Ha!Now that's funny.

What about you guys? Did you stick with any of your resolutions?

  1. Last year I didn't really make any resolutions, but I'm not really the kind to make resolutions just in January. I decide to change something, and it's a line in the sand. Making the decision, now that's the hard part cause I know how much work they are.

    1. I feel like that's why I rarely ever accomplish them because while they mean something in January as the months pass the less they mean lol. I'm hoping to stick with mine this year. But we'll see.

  2. I never make resolutions. Don't know why, just not into it. And then I'm not disappointed if I don't do it. :)

Now why #15? That's not on the usual lists. My first car was a stick shift and I loved it. We live in a flat area. So half the time you're sitting at the stoplight, you just sit in neutral and don't have to brake. Opps, I spelled brake wrong the first time, glad I caught that before I hit publish. :)

And a stick shift is much easier to get out of snow when you're stuck. Don't want one now though.

    1. Eric drives a stick so whenever we have his car I can't drive. Or if my car is in the shop I can't use his. He tried to teach me a few times and it didn't go so well. The south shore here is pretty flat but the north shore is nothing but hills.

Funny story. Eric taught himself how to drive stick and one of the first times out he got stuck at a stop light on a major hill. He said the car started rolling backwards and the lady behind him threw her arms up in the air and screamed, but he said he burned the snot out of the clutch and made it up. lol
